Seoul Subway Line 8 (Pink) is the shortest line in Seoul — a focused 17 km stretch connecting Jamsil, Seokchon Lake cherry blossoms, Lotte World Tower, and Moran Market.
Seoul Subway Line 8 (Pink) is the shortest line in the Seoul metro — just 17 km and 17 stations — but it's packed with must-visit tourist spots in southeast Seoul. One stop covers Lotte World, another gets you to Seokchon Lake's iconic cherry blossoms, and the southern end reaches Moran's weekend market.
Transfer to Line 2. Exit 1/2 for Lotte World amusement park, Lotte World Tower (123 floors, observatory at Seoul Sky), Lotte World Mall (largest mall in Korea).
Exit 6 for the west side of Seokchon Lake (석촌호수) — Seoul's most dazzling nighttime cherry blossom spot in early April. Rubber Duck installations in spring.
Ancient Baekje kingdom burial mounds. Free entry.
The southern end. Exit 5 for Moran Traditional Market — one of Korea's largest traditional markets (open every 4th and 9th of the month as a wholesale market). Great for local produce and street food.
Tip: Line 8's trains are much less crowded than Line 2. For Lotte World, take Line 8 over Line 2 if you have luggage or a stroller.

Seoul Subway Line 9 (Gold) is Seoul's only express subway line — faster than Line 2 from Gimpo Airport and Yeouido to Gangnam. Cherry blossom hotspot and COEX access.

Seoul Subway Line 7 (Olive) runs from Dobongsan in the north to Bupyeong in the west, passing through Konkuk University, Cheongdam, Gangnam, and Express Bus Terminal.

Seoul Subway Line 6 (Brown) runs through Itaewon's multicultural dining, HBC hipster alleys, Hapjeong's indie cafes, and Eunpyeong's World Cup Park.

Seoul Subway Line 5 (Purple) runs east–west through Gwanghwamun Square, Yeouido (Han River parks & cherry blossoms), and Olympic Park. Also serves Gimpo Airport.
