Seoul Subway Line 6 (Brown) runs through Itaewon's multicultural dining, HBC hipster alleys, Hapjeong's indie cafes, and Eunpyeong's World Cup Park.
Seoul Subway Line 6 (Brown) is the go-to line for after-dark Seoul: Itaewon's international food and bar scene, Haebangchon's hipster alleyways, and Hapjeong's river-view cafes. It loops through Mapo and ends at Eunpyeong's World Cup Park.
Exit 1/2 for the main Itaewon strip — Korean BBQ, Thai, Turkish, Egyptian, craft beer. Exit 4 heads uphill into Haebangchon (HBC), a bohemian neighborhood with rooftop bars and brunch cafes. Exit 3 for Hamilton Hotel and antique streets.
Exit 2 for Gyeongnidan-gil (경리단길) — Seoul's former 'it' street, still great for quiet cafes and low-key dining. 10 minutes from Itaewon on foot.
Transfer to Line 2. Exit 2/3 for Mecenatpolis Mall and the riverfront Mangwon Hangang Park area. Also the gateway to Mangwon Market (5 minutes walk) — one of Seoul's best traditional markets.
Transfer to Line 6 ↔ Gyeongui-Jungang Line, AREX. This is where major K-pop MVs are filmed. Exit 9 for SBS Prism Tower.
Exit 1 for Seoul World Cup Park — 2.2 km² of reclaimed land turned into five parks, including Haneul Park (sky-high silver grass in autumn) and Noeul Park (sunsets over the Han River).
Transfer to Line 3. Gateway to Bukhansan National Park via Exit 2 (hiking).
Tip: Noksapyeong and Itaewon are ONLY on Line 6 — no other subway line serves them. Plan accordingly.

Seoul Subway Line 9 (Gold) is Seoul's only express subway line — faster than Line 2 from Gimpo Airport and Yeouido to Gangnam. Cherry blossom hotspot and COEX access.

Seoul Subway Line 8 (Pink) is the shortest line in Seoul — a focused 17 km stretch connecting Jamsil, Seokchon Lake cherry blossoms, Lotte World Tower, and Moran Market.

Seoul Subway Line 7 (Olive) runs from Dobongsan in the north to Bupyeong in the west, passing through Konkuk University, Cheongdam, Gangnam, and Express Bus Terminal.

Seoul Subway Line 5 (Purple) runs east–west through Gwanghwamun Square, Yeouido (Han River parks & cherry blossoms), and Olympic Park. Also serves Gimpo Airport.
