Seoul's popup scene is on fire this week. From an immersive soju museum and a triple Gentle Monster collaboration to BTS's massive ARIRANG experience and a wave of anime collab cafes, March 22–29 is packed with must-visits across four neighborhoods.

Seongsu — Seoul's Creative Heartland

Seongsu is Seoul's densest popup neighborhood. All 7 spots below are within a 15-minute walk of each other, reachable from Seongsu Station (Line 2). Plan a full day here.

1. Gentle Monster x Disney x F1 Circuit Collection

Gentle Monster's iconic 14-story Haus Nowhere building is currently home to one of the most spectacular collaborations in Seoul. A giant Mickey Mouse sculpture in a racing suit greets you at the entrance, alongside a full-scale Formula 1 car. Browse the limited-edition Circuit Collection — 8 F1-inspired sunglass styles with wing-shaped frames — across the stunning brutalist interior.

Don't miss the rest of the building: Tamburins (fragrance), Nudake (dessert cafe on 5F), and rotating kinetic art installations throughout. Free entry, no reservation needed. Open 11 AM–9 PM daily. From Seongsu Station Exit 3, 12-minute walk — the building is impossible to miss.

Tip: Put your name in at Nudake (5F) first — weekend waits can hit 60–90 minutes.

2. Saero Soju Pop-up: Saero Central Museum

Ever wanted to explore 1,000 years of Korean soju history? This immersive, escape-room-style popup transforms a Seongsu venue into a museum where you search for clues to recover a stolen "Millennium Soju Recipe." Design your own custom Saero label, take home a miniature bottle, and wrap up with collaboration desserts shaped like ancient recipe scrolls at cafe Aufglet.

Free entry, but Fast Track reservations (via Yes24 or Naver Place) are recommended. Walk-ins welcome via on-site queue. Open 11 AM–9 PM daily.

Important: Bring your passport — valid photo ID is strictly required (alcohol-branded event, 19+ only). Weekdays are significantly less crowded; arrive at 11 AM for the shortest wait.

3. Kollab Korea Pop-up

The ultimate one-stop shop for K-culture souvenirs. This popup hosts ~30 rotating Korean startup brands across K-beauty, K-food, and K-lifestyle categories — many not yet available internationally. Test products hands-on, follow their social media on-site for free face mask sheets, and discover your next favorite Korean brand.

Located right next to Olive Young N Seongsu (Korea's largest beauty flagship), making it easy to combine both in one visit. Free entry, walk-in only. English signage is more common here than at typical Korean popups, as the brands target international markets. Running through July 9.

4. ZUTOMAYO INTENSE II IN SEOUL — LAST CHANCE

Japanese art-rock sensation ZUTOMAYO (Zutto Mayonaka de Ii no ni) wraps up their Seoul popup on March 29. The "ZOMBIE CRAB LABO" space features immersive installations reflecting the band's surreal artistic universe, exclusive tour merchandise, and photo zones. With both Seoul concerts sold out at 6,000 capacity each, the hype is real — but by this final week, crowds have thinned.

5. AGF Blendy: A Modern Recipe — 3 DAYS ONLY

Japanese coffee giant AGF Blendy takes over Novaportal Seongsu for just three days (March 27–29). Sample their signature stick coffee blends and discover creative coffee recipes at this free tasting popup. Located directly in front of Seongsu Station Exit 3 — the easiest popup to access in the entire neighborhood.

Free entry. Follow @agf_kr on Instagram for hours and details. Given the 3-day window, expect crowds — arrive early on Friday March 27 for the best experience.

6. T Factory: Galaxy S26 Experience — LAST CHANCE

SK Telecom's flagship experience space has been transformed into a playful "Fresh Market" for the Galaxy S26 launch. Try all S26 models, test the new Photo Assist and Privacy Display features, solve a crossword puzzle using UV lanterns to win fresh juice, and snap photos at the giant receipt-shaped photo zone.

Free entry with QR check-in. Weekdays 11 AM–8 PM, weekends 10 AM–9 PM. The first 50 daily visitors who pre-order receive a 100,000 KRW discount coupon + limited tote bag. Ends March 29. From Seongsu Station Exit 3, 5-minute walk.

7. Letter From Moon at Dasique Seongsu

K-beauty meets romantic aesthetics at Dasique's gorgeous 3-story flagship. The 3rd floor hosts a Letter From Moon popup featuring their "Cottage-core" collaboration — exclusive shadow palettes, blushes, and tints inspired by sunlit gardens. Try gacha machines for surprise items and enter the lucky draw.

Don't skip the 2nd floor Cafe Dasique — their "In My Dessert Box" (4 micro cakes + 2 financiers in a vanity-shaped box) is as Instagram-worthy as it is delicious. Free entry, walk-in. Open 11 AM–8 PM.

Hongdae — Anime & Character Paradise

Hongdae is Seoul's anime hub this week. AK PLAZA alone houses two popups on different floors. Sinchon (one subway stop away) adds Hatsune Miku, and Hapjeong brings a brand-new Hunter x Hunter cafe.

8. Hatsune Miku Sakura Popup

Spring and Sakura Miku are a perfect match. This two-week-only popup at Hyundai Department Store Sinchon U-PLEX B2F features brand-new cherry blossom-themed illustrations, exclusive merchandise (acrylic stands, jewel can badges, T-shirts, photo cards), and a dedicated photo zone.

Free entry, no reservation needed. Open 10:30 AM–10 PM. From Sinchon Station (Line 2) Exit 2, it's practically connected via underground passage — just a 3-minute walk even in rain.

9. Haikyu!! "Rest Time" Popup Store — NEW OPENING

The beloved volleyball anime gets a fresh popup at AK PLAZA Hongdae 4F, opening March 24. Exclusive "Rest Time" illustrations show the characters in casual, everyday moments. Pick up original goods including character socks, diatomite coasters, masking tape, and collectible random tickets. Spend 40,000 KRW+ for a bonus gift.

Free entry. Weekdays 11 AM–10 PM, weekends from 10:30 AM. From Hongik University Station Exit 4 or 5, AK PLAZA is directly connected — 1-minute walk.

10. Hunter x Hunter x Aniplus Collab Cafe — GRAND OPENING

Opening March 26, this full-immersion collab cafe at Aniplus Hapjeong brings Hunter x Hunter to life. Try "Killua's Fierce Blue Lemonade," "Gon's Matcha Parfait Hidden in the Forest," or "Hisoka's Chewy Bungee Gum Milk Tea." Every drink order earns you a random postcard from a set of 9 iconic scene cards.

11. Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun x Animate Collab Cafe — FINAL WEEK

Hanako-kun's collab cafe at AK PLAZA Hongdae 5F enters its final week (ending March 31). Choose from 8 character-themed drinks at 7,000 KRW each — from Hanako's Donut & Tea to Nene's Chocolate Latte and Tsukasa's Berry Grape Tea. Yongsan — K-pop Heartland

12. BTS Pop-up: ARIRANG at HYBE Yongsan

The biggest K-pop popup in Seoul right now. Inside the HYBE building, experience BTS's ARIRANG album in 3D — from towering volcanic rock sculptures at the entrance to Big Dipper floor graphics and stunning large-format member photos. Shop exclusive merchandise including the BTS × MU:DS (National Museum of Korea Foundation) collaboration — items reinterpreting patterns from the Sacred Bell of King Seongdeok, a National Treasure.

Free entry but reservation is MANDATORY via Weverse Spot (Weverse app). Slots fill up extremely fast — book as early as possible. Open through April 12. From Sinyongsan Station (Line 4) Exit 4, 5-minute walk. Closed March 30.

Tip: After visiting, walk 3 minutes to Yongridan-gil for Seoul's trendiest cafes and restaurants. If you can't get a reservation, MU:DS collab goods are also sold at the National Museum of Korea gift shop.

Myeongdong — Shopping + K-pop

13. BTS Pop-up: ARIRANG at Shinsegae Main Store

The second ARIRANG location offers a more interactive experience. The highlight is the ARIRANG MEARI (Echo) zone — pick a word representing your identity, roll balls engraved with five forms of love, and watch as audiovisual effects create a unique multi-sensory experience. The "What is your love song?" zone lets you generate a custom graphic combining album tracks, BTS members, and your nickname.

Weverse Spot reservation mandatory. 4th floor of The Heritage building. From Hoehyeon Station (Line 4) Exit 7, directly connected to Shinsegae (187m). Also walkable from Myeongdong Station Exit 5 (5 minutes). Closed March 30.

Pro tip: If you can only visit one BTS popup, choose Shinsegae for the interactive experience or HYBE for the exhibition and merchandise. Both carry the MU:DS collab goods.

Practical Tips

• Seongsu is your popup marathon neighborhood. All 7 spots are walkable from Seongsu Station (Line 2). Start at Haus Nowhere (Gentle Monster) → walk Yeonmujang-gil (Kollab Korea, Dasique, T Factory) → Achasan-ro area (ZUTOMAYO, AGF). The Saero Museum is on Yeonmujang 13-gil.
• Hongdae is your anime hub. AK PLAZA Hongdae houses both Haikyu!! (4F) and Hanako-kun Cafe (5F) under one roof. Then walk to Olive Young Hongdae Town for K-beauty shopping — try the Chiikawa × Delight Project bagel chips while you're there. Hatsune Miku is one stop away at Sinchon. Hunter x Hunter is at Hapjeong.
• BTS fans: Book Weverse Spot reservations ASAP — both locations sell out fast. If you can't get a slot, MU:DS collaboration goods are available at the National Museum of Korea gift shop with shorter lines.
• Beat the crowds: Weekday mornings are golden at every popup. Weekend afternoons are the worst.
• What to bring: Passport (required at Saero Soju, useful for BTS reservations and tax-free shopping), charged phone (QR check-ins, Naver/Weverse apps), card (most popups accept Visa/Mastercard).
